There’s something sacred about being cared for — especially in motherhood.

So many women carry so much quietly. So many mothers move through sleepless nights, heavy seasons, layered emotions, deep joy, deep grief… often without anyone truly seeing the weight of what they hold.

At The Thursday Bakery, we believe no mother should feel unseen, unsupported, or alone.
We believe community matters, kindness changes things and love is a verb.

That is the heart behind The Heart of Thursday.

What is The Heart of Thursday?

The Heart of Thursday is our generosity initiative, created to care for women walking through tender seasons of life.

Each month, we gift hand-painted cookies to mothers in our community who could use comfort, encouragement, celebration, or simply the reminder that someone is thinking of them.

These gifts are sent to women who may be:
• adjusting to life with a new baby
• navigating grief or loss
• walking through postpartum
• carrying the load as a single mother
• caring endlessly for their families
• in a season that feels heavy, unseen, or overwhelming
• or simply deserving of love “just because”

This isn’t a marketing effort. This isn’t charity.
This is hospitality.
This is legacy.
This is the village showing up.

Why This Matters

The Thursday Bakery exists because of the women who came before me.

Women who lived love quietly.
Who showed care not simply in what they said but in their actions.

My great-grandmother, Mamoo, baked tenderness into everything she touched.
My mom and grandmother, Mimi, taught me the beauty of intention — hand-making cards and gifts so no one ever doubted how deeply they were loved.
My great aunt, Grammy, has been a steady presence through every season of my life, reminding me that kindness and encouragement truly matter.
My grandmother, Granny, filled our childhood with thoughtful traditions and magical Christmas memories that still shape my heart today.
And my Aunt Ronda, who lovingly curates the most thoughtful gifts in her beautiful store, continues to inspire me with her devotion to helping people celebrate the ones they love well.

This bakery is their legacy woven forward.
Their care. Their creativity. Their generosity.
Their belief that showing up with beauty, intention, and heart changes lives.

The Heart of Thursday is my way of honoring them and continuing what they began.
